Daisy UK would like to thank everyone who came along to support our charity night on Friday 23rd November. You could feel the energy of the evening with all those wonderful people, having fun whilst being entertained by our marvellous acts which included Morphine Dance Company, Liverpool Signing Choir, Kate and Sarah Mealey, Shaun Walsh, Danielle Thomas, Lauren Walker and Ray the DJ.
There were many culinary comments on our significant and succulent hot and cold buffet catered by Sue and Mandy Greenwood
One of the highlights of the evening was the June Low Community Inspiration Award being presented by BBC Radio Merseyside presenter Roger Phillips to young Tom Sweeney.
Tom is a 14 year old boy that is making his mark on disabled and non- disabled peoples’ lives, in-spite of his own personal health issues. Tom came to Daisy 3 years ago as a young boy who had been told he was going blind. His confidence was very low and all his thoughts were of what he couldn’t do. Throughout his time at Daisy he has grown into a confident, helpful young man. The award never left his hands all evening, both he and his family were so pleased.
Thank you once again to everyone for being a part of our Daisy UK Charity night. Many thanks from all at Daisy and the young people, who will be helped by all the funds raised.
The good news is the Daisy Charity Night raised a fantastic grand total of £2338.80. A special thanks to all those that made the Daisy Charity night a complete success, including all the kind businesses, organisations and individuals who donated such wonderful auction and raffle prizes.
