The 3D Daisy Dinner in the Dark was a huge success with extra tables having to be set up to cater for the demand and influx of culinary pioneers.
80 guests came along to experience what it is like to have a three course meal with all the fun and entertainment surrounding the event whilst blind folded.
Everybody who attended wore a blind fold and gained the empathy and insight into how blind people live their lives on a daily basis. All commented on a positive experience both culinary and the care from all the Daisy staff.
Different organisations booked a table such as Liverpool Chamber of Commerce whose comments were: “they thoroughly enjoyed the evening; it was fantastic food and they gained a greater insight and experience into the needs of the blind and partially sighted.”
The live entertainment was equally inspirational starting off with the marvellous Jenny Collier, who is herself registered blind stimulating our ear drums with her angelic tones. Followed by Katie Mealey with Luke and Sarah, culminating in a fantastic local band, Last Line Out who had the place rocking.
Big thanks to Eric James our incredible chef for the evening, all the staff at Daisy Inclusive UK and Annette Barnes Consultancy, our fantastic artists and musicians and those who attend the evening and who tasted our food and also a taster what it is like to be blind.
Thank you all,
Daisy Inclusive UK
