Parklands High School Respect Day
On Wednesday 23rd April Daisy Inclusive UK went along to Parklands High School in Chorley. We delivered Inclusive disability sports e.g. blind football, goalball, boccia, new age indoor curling and wheelchair obstacle racing. Dave Kelly, Managing Director of Daisy, delivered visual and disability awareness sessions. The day was full of fun and laughter. Our ethos here is ‘make them Laugh, and they Listen, make them Listen, and they Learn’. The young people of year 8 had fun and laughter whilst learning about different disabilities, gaining care, compassion and empathy Parklands High School respect days were raising awareness of all disabilities, empowering young people to help and support other young people who may have disabilities.
we will be returning to Parklands High School on Friday 2nd May to deliver disability awareness and inclusive sports sessions to year 7 pupils. Whilst Daisy attended Parklands both staff and students gave some excellent feedback. They found all of the activities to be inspirational and enjoyable. Daisy Inclusive UK would like to thank all of the teaching staff and students for a warm and hospitable welcome and we are looking forward to returning on Friday.
